Our Story
Christian Renewal Theological Seminary was founded in 2002 by Dr. Charly Tom, a visionary leader with a heart for church planting and expanding the Kingdom of God across India. Leaving behind his life in the United Kingdom, Dr. Charly followed God's calling and journeyed to Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, India, to establish a holistic mission along with this seminary CRTS.

His mission was clear—to equip and empower dedicated believers with sound theological education, enabling them to plant and lead churches throughout India. Alongside this vision, he also founded MERCY MISSION in 1998, an initiative dedicated to caring for orphans, reflecting Christ’s love through both education and compassionate service.
Since its inception, Christian Renewal Theological Seminary has been a beacon of hope and transformation, training passionate disciples, pastors, and leaders who carry the gospel to unreached communities. Rooted in a commitment to biblical truth and spiritual renewal, our seminary continues to shape lives and advance God’s Kingdom, one church at a time.
